Are you ready to explore the secrets of nature? Junior Ranger invites curious children and families on an exciting journey in our beautiful World Heritage nature. Through fun and hands-on challenges, we bring out the explorer in you!
What is Waiting for You?
- Listen to nature: Learn to recognize birds by their beautiful songs.
- Become an animal detective: Examine real animal fur and guess who it belongs to.
- Up-close geology: Study shiny minerals and ancient stones.
- Create magic: Make your own bubbling volcanic eruptions!
- Build history: Build a miniature model of a traditional Western Norwegian wooden building.
- Challenge your family: Test your balance in a fun race on grass skis!
Every single activity is designed to spark curiosity, encourage teamwork, and give a sense of achievement. Even though the challenges are made for children, adults are very welcome to join the fun!
Diploms and Medals!
When the missions are completed, a great reward awaits. Every child receives an official Junior Ranger Diploma and a shiny Junior Ranger Medal. After this, they can proudly call themselves real Junior Rangers of the Geirangerfjord!
Useful Information
Everything included in the ticket:
- An action-filled activity program led by a real fjord ranger.
- An exclusive Junior Ranger badge.
- Entrance to the exciting exhibitions at the World Heritage Center / Norsk Fjordsenter.
Good to know:
- Language: The program is held in English if international guests join the group.
- Clothing: Dress for the weather in clothes that are good for playing outside.
- Safety: Children under 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must have a valid entrance ticket to Norsk Fjordsenter.
