Rappelling / Abseiling

Join us to explore our new combination trip where you get to climb up and abseil down.

Explore Geiranger has now established a steep path secured with ropes all the way up to Flydalsjuvet. This is a path where you have to use a climbing harness and JUMAR (safety device). Steep terrain and easy climbing - safe and exciting!

The trail goes through the deciduous forest where small climbing slopes give a creative nature experience. Eventually the path goes on moss-grown rock with a good view of the Geirangerfjord. Here is a double rope fuse that gives a great photo motif. The last part of the trail goes in open landscape up to the viewpoint itself. Our guide is happy to take a picture of the group at the viewpoint.

After a short break, the rappelling starts! The rappelling route consists of three parts.

Intro-wall: here you get training using rappelling equipment.

Vertical wall (50 altitude meters): we promise fantastic views of Geiranger. You may feel the height & steepness of the wall, but it's safe :)

The Sva wall (40 altitude meters): great rappelling down to the deciduous forest.

After the last rappelling, it is a short walk down to the ticket office. In total, the trip takes between 2-3 hours. Welcome to an exciting day in Geiranger!
